Air Greenland welcomes you to Alluitsup-Paa

Alluitsup-Paa is a small settlement with just 500 inhabitants. Here you can find the serenity that is characteristic of settlement life in Greenland. In the 1800’s the area was centre for the German Brotherhood community and this is reflected in the architecture of the buildings. The settlement is surrounded by steep mountains and icebergs drift along lazily in the sea. Go for a short walk to a mountain top, sit down and enjoy the panoramic view. “Serenity” will get a whole new meaning.

Can you bathe outdoors in Greenland?
Yes, you can. Take a boat trip from Alluitsup-Paa to the warm springs at Uunnartoq. The springs have been known for many hundreds of years for their curative properties and lying in 37-degree warm water looking at views of icebergs in all shapes and sizes is certainly a very special experience. During the boat trip there and back, there is a good chance of spotting whales.
