We recommend that you take out insurance before you travel – both when you travel in Greenland, in Europe and the rest of the world. You will feel comfortable knowing that you are covered and that you will receive help if you, e.g. fall ill, get injured or lose your luggage
You can purchase your insurance here, or when you buy your flight with the travel agent. We work with Europæiske, which offers insurance, including the following two options:
Cancellation insurance: Must be purchased at the same time as the flight. The price is six percent of the cost of your flight and covers the following situations: When you, or one of your travelling companions falls seriously ill, or a sudden, acute illness or death occurs within your nearest family, you are entitled to cancel the flight and have the price of your flight refunded. The insurance also applies in the case of the occurrence of a special situation at work, that means you cannot travel, or in the case of fire, water damage, burglary or the like at your home. Travel insurance: Danish citizens travelling in EU countries are covered in case of illness by the European Health Insurance Card when the trip is less than 30 days. If you become seriously ill or injured during your trip, travel insurance covers a visit by your closest relation and of course also transport home. You are also insured in the case of robbery, assault, lost luggage or if you cause damage.
For travel outside EU and particularly to the USA we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. In the USA, even a broken tooth or a broken leg can cost thousands and payment is due immediately. Read more about the insurance company we work with: Europæiske
