Operational notice from Air Greenland Cargo

Dear freight and postal customers,

It is with great regret that we must acknowledge that the implementation of our cargo system on September 3 has created greater challenges than we anticipated. As a result, there has been a significant accumulation of freight and mail in our network throughout September – particularly in Nuuk. Unfortunately, this has negatively affected our customers, who have had to wait a long time both when delivering and – not least – when receiving freight and mail.

 

We are working to resolve the issues in close collaboration with the cargo departments at the stations so that we can process the freight at the desired pace. However, we must admit that we are not quite there yet. Therefore, efforts are being intensified, but it will take a bit more time before the new system is fully implemented at all stations.

 

With this message, Air Greenland would like to emphasize that our customers, who are delivering goods to their own customers, are not to blame for the long wait times for the delivery of letters, packages, and freight. The responsibility for the handling and delivery of air cargo at the stations lies solely with Air Greenland.

 

We apologize for the inconvenience this causes all our customers, and we thank you for your patience and understanding.
