Your journey begins with a flight from Nuuk to Ilulissat, followed by a scenic boat transfer to Ilimanaq – a small settlement of just 50 residents. The sail past the Ilulissat Icefjord and its towering icebergs is a highlight in itself, and you may even spot whales along the way.
Upon arrival, check into your architect-designed bungalow with panoramic views of Disko Bay. In the afternoon, you can join a guided village walk to explore the preserved church, colonial buildings, and hear stories of missionary Poul Egede.
The day ends with dinner at Restaurant Egede – located in Poul Egede’s historic 18th-century home – where local ingredients like fish, reindeer, and musk ox are prepared with modern culinary flair.
